Timothy Twitter ought to have been the happiest mouse in the village, but he wasn't. He was the most miserable of mice. Now this was strange, for several reasons. One was that he had a nice little house of his own. It was called"The Merry Mouse-Hole", and it had flowers in front, and vegetables and fruit-trees behind. Another was that his Great-aunt, Mrs. Twitters, had left him plenty of money. And the third was that he had the best and prettiest little wife you can imagine. Her name was Hetty. Ref ZZ6.
