A previous owner's inscription appears on the front endpaperS. Binding sound. Covers also very good with a touch of wear. The spine is slightly faded. This is an early, substantial guide to Winchester which contains a number of illustrated essays about the city written by various authors. Subjects covered include the carvings of Winchester Cathedral, St. Swithun's Priory, Roman Roads in Winchester, trade in the city in the 19th century and so on.
