Biography of T[homas E[dward] Lawrence (1988 - 1935) known as Lawrence of Arabia. British soldier and writer who, from 1916 onwards, helped lead the Arab revolt against the Turks in the Middle East leading to the eventual victory of General Allenby's victory in Palestine, 1918. Lawrence describes this period in The Seven Pillars of Wisdom (1926).
