Hardcover. Condición: Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Fair. This is signed. There is a pasted paper from Olsen and Johhnson that is signed on the first endpage, but the signature from the author is on the next page. Book is in good condition with some small white pinprick sized marks scattered on the front and back cover. There is also moderate wear to the spine and each corner has been bumped. The back and front endpapers show some evidence of water damage, but it doesnt spread to the other pages. The back endpaper also identifies this as the "Property of Universal Pictures Co. Inc. Research Dept." and the same stamp is on the bottom of page 101. The binding has been cracked at several points throughout the book, but all pages are still secure. The page edges also have some moderate toning, but the book is otherwise a presentable copy with clean pages. The dust jacket is in okay condition with moderate wear to the edges and heavy wear to the spine and flaps. The corners of both flaps have been clipped and the back of the dust jacket has water damage that has caused wrinkling on the outside and a large pink stain on the inside. Each corner also has some small chips and there are scattered tear across the top and bottom edges that all hover around 0.25 inches. There is also moderate rubbing on the front and back and the spine has moderate sunfading.

Hardcover. Condición: Fine. First Edition. Octavo, 194pp. A very good copy in the publisher's maroon cloth. Spine sunned, hinges tender but holding, and a few tiny stains to the boards. Lacking the dust jacket. This copy SIGNED and warmly INSCRIBED by Parsons on a front blank: "To Joseph V. Connolly - who has put up with me for so many years - I inscribe my most pretentious literary effort. With affection and admiration Louella O. Parsons." We were unable to identify Connolly, but someone with the same name (including middle initial V.) has a carton of correspondence with William Randolph Hearst at the Bancroft Library. Parsons was a close associate of Hearst's, so we presume they must have known each other through Hearst. Parsons had a decades-long feud with Hedda Hopper; the two were the rival queens of Hollywood gossip.
