Hard Cover. Condición: VG+. Estado de la sobrecubierta: VG+. 4th Printing. SIGNED - Octavo. Brown boards quarterbound in a violet cloth backstrip with shiny gilt lettering on the spine. Book has a very faint bumping at the head and tail of the spine. White endpapers. Signed, inscribed, and dated by the author/activist on the upper edge of the half title page in black pen: "10-24-98 / Rosa Parks / For ----- -----." Binding is straight and tight. Pages have faint foxing on the upper and outside edge of the textblock - pages are otherwise all clean, white, and crisp. 192 pages. Dust Jacket has a trace of rubbing at the head and tail of the spine and at the extreme tip of the upper front outside corner. Spine is very slightly sunned, but still easy to read and the sunning is slight enough that we accepted this as the color of the spine until we looked at other copies of the same book. Original $17.00 price on the upper corner of the front inside flap. Laid into the book are a couple breadcrumbs in a trail that wasn't complete enough to follow, but are still interesting: A yellow receipt for the book's purchase new at The Afro-American Book Shop at 1400 Poydras in New Orleans and a business card for the co-founder of the Rosa & Raymond Parks Institute for Self Development in Detroit. Rare. Signed by the Author.

Cloth. Condición: Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Near Fine. First Edition, First Printing. This is a unique piece of American History. Contained in these pages are the simple words and testimony of a principal who sparked the Montgomery, Alabama, bus boycott in 1955. Ms. Parks was a catalyst in the forward move for equal rights, much of her courage, conscience, and comittment being offered here. There are numerous photographs, a chronology, and an index. There is faint sunning to the spine of the jacket; otherwise, this copy is clean, solid, and SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR on the half-title: "3/17/92 Rosa Parks." The jacket is in mylar. Signed by Author(s).
