135x95mm (5½"x3¾"). German language. Little yearbook of prose and some verse; with engraved title-page, and 10 engraved plates including frontispiece. pp(4)204, text in Fraktur. All edges gilt. Hardback / hard cover: later (c1900) binding of untitled thin brick-red cloth and white endpapers, covers with bevelled edges; original decorated front and rear wrappers retained, being pasted down on front and rear flyleaves respectively. Backstrip patchily faded, with slight wear at tail. Loss of cloth along lightly worn front hinge, and along completely split rear hinge. Covers lightly rubbed and a little dust- & handling-marked; rear also with two small dark spot-stains, one at and the other close to fore-edge. Trimmed pictorial bookplate on front pastedown of Jonas Cohn, 1869 Görlitz - 1947 Birmingham, German philosopher, psychologist and educationalist; small stamp of later owner along upper edge of bookplate. Original wrappers a little grubby, being quite deeply dust- & handling-marked. Frontispiece and title-page faintly spotted and dust- & handling-marked. Cluster of droplet-size tan splash-stains on page 56, and on plate opposite to lesser effect. Large jagged-edged deep-tan splash-stain on portrait of Klopstock opposite page 158, affecting preceding & following leaves of text - pages 157/158 & 159/160 - but to much diminished extent and depth of tone. A number of other stains of variable extents and depths of tone elsewheres; mainly confined to fore-edge margins, but affecting portrait of Kant opposite page 200 and occasionally overlapping small sections of text as at pages 101-114. Hole through three consecutive leaves of text - pages 59-64 - slightly affecting one or two words on two lines of text per page; the holes of similar sizes, of lengths up to 7mm and widths up to 4mm. Contents otherwise with occasional light spotting, isolated spots and minor handling marks in text, faint spotting in margins of all plates, and with a few furled corner tips. Edges of text-block a little rubbed and lightly dust- & handling-marked. Binding holding firmly, though backstrip a little wanting in appearance. Contents with a number of flaws, but on the whole reasonably clean and tight. FAIR copy / akzeptabler Zustand.

St. Jakobskirche in Augsburg und Herausgeber der Almanachs "Klio und Euterpe" (nach Kosch). - Einband bestoßen und wasserfleckig. Stellenweise stockfleckig. Ab Seite 159 kleiner Wasserrand im Kopfsteg. Gewicht (Gramm): 160.

Vermerke und ein kleines Wappenetikett auf Vorsatz.
