Binding a bit worn, paper flaw on p.128 of Kramer with early repair (no losses), occasional browning and foxing; very good copies. The pioneer German otologist, Wilhelm Kramer (1801-75) published his first and best work at Berlin in 1833. The English translation first appeared at London in 1837, and was reprinted at Philadelphia in 1838. Kramer ".devoted himself to the treatment of auditory disturbances." (Castiglioni). He emphasized "the familial nature of nerve deafness as contrasted with conduction deafness." (Mettler). G-M 3366 cites the original edition and notes the 1837 English translation.
