HC. Condición: f/f. 1st ed. An excellent example of this fine journal account of the Spanish Civil War, the manuscript of which was missing for sixty years. Neugass was a man educated at Harvard, Yale and Oxford, who served with the American Medical Bureau as an ambulance driver. Wounded several times himself during the conflict, he survived the war, only to die of a heart attack in 1949 at age 44. This document serving as an important chronicle of the experience and an epitaph to all involved. 314pp.
