Cloth. Condición: Very Good. No Jacket. Subscription. A very good copy of this subscription set of this popular gardening guide, in 4 volumes. This subscription edition has beautiful double page colour illustrations not available in other editions. All illustrations in excellent condition, most protected by tissue. Other illustrations in black and white. No Dust Jacket ( as issued). Covers: green cloth with blind embossed decoration and gilt titles to front and spine; in very good condition, shelf wear commensurate with age, slight rubbing to all edges and slightest fading to spines. Internally: all very clean and tightly bound but with some darkening to page edges as might be expected. Each volume paginated separately: 380, 380, 380 and 396. A large and heavy set which will incur increased postal charges.

This is a comprehensive, beautifully illustrated and still very useful encyclopedic work covering all aspects of gardening. The many colored plates are very attractive.
