Both dust jackets price clipped, both dust jackets have minor splash marked on the spine, and very light rubbing of the edges. Both volumes are internally clean, and without annotations. There is a general introduction, followed by a section on the Australian urban citizen, then there is looking at family life, and children, workers and social hierarchies. The volume on rural community looks at the citizens perception of the social world, the members of the family, and children at school, and also has a summary and appendices.
