Still the best account of the Royal Navy's attempt to match the Kaiser's U-boats in WWI. The twin-funnelled 'K-class' boats were the biggest and fastest submarines of WWI but met with a series of tragic mishaps; of the seventeen craft commissioned not one survived disaster.
