(365x269mm), engraved frontispiece of Handel tissue guarded, Advertisement leaf, pp: [iv]+1-134; [vi]+1-127,[1]; [iv]+1-143,[1], marbled endpapers and marbled boards, half red morocco, gilt, spines with gilt decorated wide raised bands, gilt lettered 'Corfe' to tail of spine, light wear and marks, however handsome copies, sound, tight and very good condition. Complete in three hardback volumes, no edition stated (but presumed first editions). Oblong 4to (25cm by 36cm), [iv], 134pp; [vi], 127pp; [iv], 143pp. Portrait frontispiece in volume 1. Matching contemporary bindings of quarter black morocco, marbled boards. The bindings are somewhat rubbed and scuffed, but intact. The front free endpaper of volume 2 is somewhat creased, but the contents are otherwise in very good condition. Volume 3 is signed by Jos Corfe in ink on the advertisement page. Originally planned in two volumes, but later extended to three. All three volumes are undated - COPAC estimates a date of 1803.
