Soft cover. Condición: Very Good. Slim 1927 booklet in stiff card covers. A Christmas classic; 16 pages (untrimmed), illustrated by August Kaiser. Wrappers are fashioned of handmade paper (the spots that appear in our image are actually flakes of colored bits of paper milled into the cover stock.) A few light smudges here and there at edges, and some light wear to corners.

Soft cover. Condición: Near Fine. 1st Edition. No date, circa 1940. Illustrated stiff paper covers, 5 1/4 X 8 1/4 inches, (16 pages) Charming color illustrations by Neal Stolp Smock, including a double page center illustration. Tied with bright red cord, which lacks one tassel. See photo. Near Fine.
Soft cover. Condición: Very Good. Illustrated Edition. This is a charming, vintage children's Christmas book, "Is There a Santa Claus?" - consisting of Virginia O'Hanlon's letter to the New York Sun followed by the classic reply by Francis Pharcellus Church ("Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus"). Circa 1950's (there is no date of publication stated). The book is beautifully illustrated with color illustrations throughout by Nell Stolp Smock. From the introduction: "Virginia O'Hanlon, a child of eight, wrote a letter to the New York Sun. It presented that question which ultimately haunts all childhood: 'Is There a Santa Claus?' Francis Church, a thoroughly masculine, yet delicately perceptive member of the Sun's staff, was assigned the problem of answering it in his sympathetic way. With some trepidation, he produced the answer which was published in 1897. However, his authorship was not proclaimed until April 12, 1906, the day after his death. The piece has been reprinted more times than any Christmas newspaper article in any land. Since it has appealed to so many, it is our hope that this illustrated edition may touch your sensibilities and thus enrich your holiday season. With it we extend to you our most cordial greeting." Condition: Light crease at the bottom edge. The pages have a couple tiny stains along the inner edges by the spine. All pages and both covers are firmly attached. The back cover has a couple tiny stain spots at the bottom edge. There is a bit of light wear at the cover corners. Overall the booklet is in Very Good condition.
