Thomas Edward Lawrence (1888 1935), was a british archaeologist, military officer, diplomat, and writer. He was renowned for his liaison role during the Sinai and Palestine Campaign and the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Empire during the First World War. The Seven Pillars of Wisdom was Lawrence's autobiographcal account of his experiences in the Arab Revolt. Lawrence led the Arabs to victory and an immortal fame. This is the whole story of his defeats and his victories, of his epic campaigns, almost unparalleled in the history of warfare. And beyond the stirring martial note is the odyssey of a man's soul.
