Año de publicación: 1809
Edición: 1st Edition
First edition, 8vo., some light foxing, but sound, 32pp., disbound. The first publishing of this trial in 1809 was by reviving memories of the scandal of 1792 to further discredit Cobbett who by this time was out of favour with the Government. It was published by Hatchards with Powell as the probable author. The trial in 1792 caused a considerable scandal. It was brought on evidence from Cobbett that whilst the Regiment was serving in America the officers in question had embezzled monies, thus amongst other things depriving troops of rations and clothing &c. The case was not proven and Cobbett was very close to being criminally prosecuted. N° de ref. de la librería 14234
