Quarterbound with gilt titling on a green cloth spine with gilt titling on black cloth boards. No dustjacket. There are minor smudge marks to the boards and the bottom right corner is rubbed with some minor surface loss. The page fore-edges have some brown smudges and the first few pages have some light internal foxing (brown spots) . This is from the library of the late Arthur Giardelli, the well-known artist, and his name sticker is on the front free endpaper. Otherwise No Inscriptions or other Marks. 614 pp. Illustrated in colour and b/w with map endpapers. Sources of Illustrations; Biographical Chart; Participants in the Exhibitions of the Independents- 1884-1893; Bibliography; Index; Map of Places where the Post-Impressionists Worked. Included on an additional sheet of paper is a selection of the publications of 'The Museum of Modern Art'. Overall, apart from the 'faults', as detailed above, this is a Clean, Tight and Secure, 'Very Good' copy.
