2 Volume set in red cloth binding with gilt illustrations on front boards and spine. Includes rare blue map and 360 engravings. One of the most important works on Native Americans published in the 19th century. Volume 1 description: Red cloth boards are moderately soiled with significant rubbing to edges, corners, spine joint and ends of spine. A 3" piece of the top of the spine is missing. Binding, however is sound and square. Text block is age darkened with mild soiling. Scattered foxing throughout. In Good to Good+ condition. Volume 2 description: Similar to Volume 2 except the entire spine is present with some cracking. Inside webbing beginning to show at front hinge and center of the book.
