Información detallada sobre el vendedor

Books, periodicals, printed ephemera: interesting, competitively-priced, accurately described. Previously on AbeBooks as an offshoot of the small independent publisher Agre Books, named after "the thicket-searcher Agre" (pictured above) in George Chapman's Hymnus in Cynthiam (1594). Here a pack of hounds fall "to howling in their happinesse: / As when a flocke of school-boyes... gets leave to sport, / And then like toyle-freed deare, in headlong sort / With shouts, and shrieks, they hurrey from the schoole..." But as no one was ever sure how to spell or pronounce Agre, with some regret that hound's name has been retired. However - while stocks last - you can expect a few copies of old Agre titles to be among the many things listed here, with some Chapman too. (Chapman had the necessary humorous spirit for an AbeBooks seller: "I rest as resolute as Seneca, satisfying my selfe if but a few, if one, or if none like it".)

Books are usually sent out the day after they're ordered via the UK's Royal Mail. Royal Mail postage costs went up again on 31 March, 2014 and they vary considerably according to the size, weight and value of item, whether it's sent to be signed-for or registered, speed of delivery, etc. Postage, therefore, is charged at cost. For many books this will be at the second class small parcel rate of £2.80; first class is £3.20. Signed-for, the second-class small parcel rate starts from £3.90; first class signed-for small parcel starts from £4.30. It's this small parcel rate that equates to ABE Books' standard shipping costs, which are based on books weighing 2.2 LB or 1 KG. If you've ordered books that are much heavier or bigger, you'll be contacted so that extra postage costs can be discussed and confirmed. All books are carefully packed and checked before they are sent out.
