Broadside, oblong forlio, engraved by John Collett, cut close at bottom edge, printed one side as issued. A Satire on Smock Races for Young Women. Between the 17th and early 19th Centuries one of the features of Country Fairs were the smock races when sturdy young country lasses competed to complete a foot race along a set course for a prize of a smock of fine linen.
