For extra pictures of the more valuable books, please press the 'Ask Bookseller A Question' button. This book is in very good condition. Part of the 20/- series by A C Black with 75 splendid full page coloured plates with tissue guards. Some very light corner stains to some plates and guards but not extending to the coloured pictures. Lovely bright decorated boards with bright gold lining and bright orange. Background blue is bright, rich and strong. The spine is unusually bright as many of this series of books normally have faded spines. Internally the text pages are generally very clean and bright. The text pages of this series are prone to foxing of the paper and this copy is very much cleaner than normal. The end papers and title page are generally very clean and bright. Again this is unusual for this series. There is an eight page publisher's book list bound in at the rear. This book has an excellent provenance in that it comes from the private research library of the author Paul Vine and bears his signature and the date Oct 1950 on top right corner of the front free end paper. As a private collector I and have bought significant sections of Paul's collection. The majority are retained in my collection. There is slight hint of corner creasing to top corners of some pages but this is not serious and does not occur throughout. The corners are NOT folded over. For our terms, please click on 'Bianco Library' below. Buying more than one book will save on postage costs. To help our customers, we have split our books into 70 + categories. Descripción de la librería: Our base is near Billingshurst, West Sussex UK. We have been book collecting for 30 years. Our books are stored at the appropriate steady temperature and humidity. We offer rare and out of print books primarily to collectors. We normally describe the condition of boards and spines separately and in addition to contents. For magazines and leaflets we use the book description box to describe the CONTENTS and the jacket box to describe the covers. To assist collectors we try and offer magazines individually (subject to a minimum order value of £10 + P&P). For a number of the more valuable books photographs are avaialable on our website. Some have multiple images and there are both small and large images available. Either click "ask bookseller a question" or e mail us direct to access the picture gallery. For queries made through our BiancoLibrary website we can provide images "scanned to e-mail" for books vlaued at over 20 pounds or so. Please bear in mind that these scans cover boards and plates etc but cannot always accommodate spines. In some cases we can also fax black and white copies. We ask customers not to abuse this service.
