"Railroad Valley lies in a remote region in eastcentral Nevada in the heart of the Great Basin. It has been smacked by a blazing meteorite, dusted with fallout from atomic tests, and had its soil tainted by blood from a massacre. This book, based on published sources as well as on recently collected oral history interviews. traces the history of Railroad Valley from the time of its first-known human occupation to the present." Dust jacket present and in as-new condition, save for faint rubbing and scratching, as well as some creasing at head and tail of spine. Hardcover itself is in as-new condition, save for the faintest softening at tail of spine; binding is tight, corners are sharp, and the teal cloth boards contrast vividly with the bright silver gilt lettering on the front and spine. Author's signature can be found on the title page; all other pages are clean, with no marking or highlighting.
