A student of Regnault, Cooke was Erving professor of chemistry and mineralogy at Harvard. Richards (1868-1928), the 1914 Nobel laureate in chemistry. Miles, W.D., 'Amer. chemists and chem. eng.', 1976, pp.91-92. Smith Coll., p.120. Bolton I.376 - London, 1886 only.
