Valladalid, 2 October 1586. 308 x 222 mm. 48 Vellum leaves., One beautiful full page illumination incorporating the grantee's arms 36 lines written in black ink, multiple ruled red ink border, 12 headlines in blue and red lettered in liquid gold, six decorative rulings to upper margin, lower margin with one ruling and flourishes. Contemporary Spanish goatskin over paste boards tooled in gilt and blind, central panel decorated with eagle tool and four floral tools in corners, three medallion-head blind roll-tooled borders, central braided silk cord (four silk ties vanished, some wear to corners, worming to paste-boards).
