Reseña del editor:
Arrrrgh! Get ready for an adventure featuring the most ferocious, savage, and slightly stupid, creatures under the earth! Cruising through the woods in a borrowed police car, teenage PJ and twelve-year-old Sam accidentally run down a bizarre creature. When Sam’s curiosity gets the best of him, he crawls down its tunnel and is quickly captured by a mob of the ferocious beasts. PJ reluctantly goes underground after him, teaming up with a group of mysterious humans who have kept the creatures from discovering the surface of the earth for centuries, until the boys royally messed it up! Now both boys must use all of their ingenuity, and learn a few lessons, to escape the treacherous underground land and save the world!
Biografía del autor:
Royce Buckingham is an American fantasy writer with an English degree from Whitman College and a Law degree from the University of Oregon. Royce sold his first novel, DEMONKEEPER, to Penguin, Putnam and his screenplay for DEMONKEEPER to 20th Century Fox in 2006. He also worked for Xbox writing a fantasy video game storyline. Since DEMONKEEPER debuted, Royce has made reading lists, garnered good reviews, and hit the bestseller list in Germany, where DEMONKEEPER (DAMLICHE DAMONEN) sold over 100,000 copies for Random House, Penhaligon. Royce then expanded DEMONKEEPER into a trilogy. In the meantime, Royce wrote two more middle grade novels for Putnam—GOBLINS, and his ghost story, THE DEAD BOYS, which was a Junior Library Guild selection and Sasquatch award winner for Best Middle Grade Book. Royce recently finished a YA thriller for Saint Martin’s Press called The Terminals and an adult legal thriller called Impasse. After the DEMONKEEPER series closed, Penhaligon asked Royce for a larger work that would appeal to all ages, and he signed on for an epic medieval fantasy. The result is the MAPPER (DIE KARTE DER WELT) series, the first of which spent months on the German bestseller list. Royce lives in Bellingham, WA with his wife and two boys.
