Biografía del autor:
Graciela Castellanos, a native of Venezuela, is a perfect bilingual, having been educated in both English and Spanish speaking schools. Her career spans nearly 30 years of teaching experience, from Nursery to 12th grade as well as adults. In addition, she held various administrative positions including Director and Headmaster of schools in Venezuela and the USA. Graciela’s expertise is in the field of early childhood, bilingual education and Primary Years Program of the International Baccalaureate. She has a B.A. in Modern Languages and a Master degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Austin. After a successful career, she decided to take her vision and knowledge one step further, focusing her efforts into writing a program for teaching English and Spanish to young children. As part of the program she also developed a series of bilingual picture books, which incorporate an easy vocabulary suitable for preschool and lower primary grade students. The books have a special charm with original illustrations that have a keen way of developing concepts such as self-esteem, cooperation, friendship, respect and love among others with a very multi-cultural character base.
