Bill Schorr began his career as an editorial cartoonist for the Kansas City Star. He then spent several years with the Los Angeles Herald Examiner before returning again to the Star. He was staff editorial cartoonist at the New York Daily News from 1997 to 2001. Born in New York City, Schorr grew up in Albuquerque, NM, and Riverside, CA. Ralph Smith is a graduate of the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. He met Dik Browne (creator of Hagar The Horrible and Hi and Lois) on an interview assignment for his first job. Dik became his mentor and Ralph spent six years working on Hagar the Horrible. Ralph is also the creator of the syndicated strips Captain Vincible and Through Thick and Thin. He's been collaborating with Bill Schorr on The Grizzwells for many years.
