Dhanu Kothari is President of D2i Consulting, a firm specializing in Project Management delivery and consulting including Methodology, Process, PMOs, Projects Audits, Reset and Recovery, and skills development & training. He has over twenty-five years of experience in consulting and delivery Project Management services including methodology development and training. He worked for major organizations including Hewlett-Packard, Digital Equipment, Honeywell, Nortel Networks, Scotiabank, Sperry Univac and the Norwegian Computing Center. Dhanu specializes in innovative approaches to Project Management and the application of quality principles to manage projects successfully. His effective communications, team approach, and business-oriented style provide the foundation to manage projects for a successful outcome. He is able to consistently provide clients with professional expertise in planning and managing change while ensuring the successful completion of business goals and objectives. He has successfully applied the principles of Project Management to complex IT and non-IT projects. Dhanu holds a B.Sc. in Mech. Eng. and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Production Engineering, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. He has presented and published several papers on Project Management, He is a past President of PMI Southern Ontario Chapter, and he obtained his PMP certification in 1991-92. Dhanu has authored two books on Project Management titled: “Rainbows & Ratholes: Best Practices for Managing Successful Projects” and “Managing Project Recovery”. He has appeared as a speaker at various professional organizations, PMI chapters, Project Management conferences and most recently at NASA PM Challenge symposiums in 2009 and 2010. Dhanu looks beyond self to serving a community, and strives to benefit all in every interpersonal relationship. As a Rotarian, he strives to give something back to the community and puts service above self.
