Secret Splendors of the Desert, Anza Borrego Desert State Park - Tapa blanda

Secret Splendors of the Desert is a photographic essay of the incredible beauty found in Anza Borrego Desert State Park. It contains 95 full color images on 100 pages. The book is printed on high quality art mat paper and is landscape in orientation. The images are creatively composed, and the images have the qualities of fine art photography. Located primarily in the south east corner of San Diego county, the included images are from a wide range of locations. They were photographed over a 12 year period, during both winter and spring. We were priviledged to work in this wonderful desert in the winter, in the rain, and these unusual conditions led to many wonderful images. The book also contains images of the riotous spring blooms, as well as the grand geological features of the park such as the views of the Borrego Badlands made from Vista del Malpais. Also included are photographs made along the right of way of the old Arizona & San Diego RR. A wooden trestle- like those in old western movies which the bad guys blew up to rob the gold carrying train- is a main feature of the railroad images. The Goat canyon trestle is said to be the tallest wooden trestle ever built. Our sole intent in creating this book is to give you, the reader, a pleasurable experience. Both the images and accompanying text were chosen and written with this goal in mind.
