Descripción Hardcover. Condición: Very Good-. Estado de la sobrecubierta: No Dust Jacket. Presumed First English Edition. Blue cloth-covered boards. With bright gilt titling to the spine. Some lighter blue 'patch' marks here and there to the covers, etc, but generally VG Minus condition. Tight and Clean overall. Spine ends mildly bumped from storage. NO dust jacket. 132 pp (includes advert leaf at end) . No date, circa1972/3 as in the 'Forward to the English Edition' it states "It is considerably larger than the recent edition published in Russian.many important lines have been reassessed. The book deals with the current knowledge of all branches of the Two Knights Defence up to 1971." . A Light yellowy patch (1" x 1.5" ) to the bottom of the front free endpaper, o/w NO Inscriptions or other marks. 131pp. Very Clean internally. Pages browning - but uniformly - in Sections, as the publisher must have used different quality papers = Endpapers White; Next 12 pages printed on a now 'dark cream' coloured paper; 'Move by Move Index', bibliography and Parts One & Two - pages 17 to 80 - are White. Part Three - pages 81 to 116 is light brown and 117 to 130 are pretty white, but last page 131 and the end Advert is lightly browned. Numerous black and white illustrations of chess moves. Internally CLEAN, TIGHT and BRIGHT. Overall VG Minus. Minor faults to the covers but the 'browned' pages issue seems to be a Publisher's issue and affects all other copies I've seen. I believe this is the First English Edition. See Images; Chess for Modern Times, ; Slim 8vo 8" - 9" tall. Nº de ref. del artículo: 114586
