Descripción Hardcover. Condición: Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very Good. Rep[rint. London: Martin Brian & O'Keefe, 1973. Appreciated as one of the best Irish authors of the mid-XXth Century, Paddy Kavanagh's works are elusive in the trade. Mentored by A.E., he was encouraged to give up farming for literature, and the world is better for it . "The Green Fool" was initially published in 1938, whereupon Kavanagh was sued by Oliver St. John Gogarty for the close mentioning of Gogarty's wife with his mistress; oddly to us, Gogarty won his suit, the book was withdrawn, and later the two became good friends. This is a Fine copy of the Second Printing of the 1971 reissue. Black paper-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine. Clean text; 350 pages. The dustwrapper is unclipped; it has some minor wrinkling at the margins and a small tear to the upper left of the front cover. In an archival plastic protector. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Rep[rint. Hard Cover. Fine/Very Good. Nº de ref. del artículo: 002659
