A practical manual focusing on perinatal complications seen with relatively high frequency. While it emphasizes therapy and gives the reader protocols for the management of patients with complications of pregnancy, it also provides enough information so that the rationale behind the proposed management plans can be understood. The title of the first edition of this book "High-Risk Pregnancy and Delivery" has been changed to "Practical Guide to High-Risk Pregnancy and Delivery" to emphasize the practical nature of the book. Several other changes have been made to keep up with multiple new developments and to facilitate the finding of information. The book comprises 21 chapters divided into 6 sections: antepartum care, pregnancy complications, medical disorders affecting pregnancy, foetal disorders, intrapartum problems and postpartum problems. New chapters have been added on early pregnancy loss, chronic hypertension and pregnancy, foetal dysmorphology, congenital infections, and postpartum complications.
