This edition of a textbook on Christian theology contains citations correlated with the material provided in the textbook "The Christian Theology Reader". It includes major historical sections dealing with: Eastern Orthodoxy; Roman Catholicism; charismatic and Pentecostal Christianity; and Third-World Christianity. Major new theological sections include: the development of the discipline of theology; 20th-century ecclesiology; a specific section on the ecclesiology of Vatican II; and the 9th-century sacramental debates.
