This exciting series looks at the problems facing the world's endangered animals. MISSION RHINO is the story of the black rhino and its rapid decline in numbers over the past five years. Joshua is 12 years old and the son of an African hunter. He is excited by the prospect of the rhino hunt, but is sad that such a majestic animal should have to die in order to provide a living for his family. David is a ranger. His job is to track down the people who hunt rhinos illegally. He also relocates endangered rhinos to safer reserves. Kurt is a zoologist. He explains the reasons behind the rhinos' decline, including their loss of habitat, and the problems of relocation.
