Reseña del editor:
Michael Parkinson: 'What was the nearest amount of time, before or after a game, that you ever had sex, George? George Best: 'Er...It was in half time, I think...'. "Scoring At Half Time" is a highly entertaining collection of the anecdotes, tales and general excessive humour that George is renowned for. George and his sporting pals have accumulated hundreds of football and sporting stories over the last 50 years and these are the very best of them. Lurid tales, inside stories, embarrassing incidents from George, Bobby, Dennis, Nobby, Gazza, Fergie, Posh and Becks. No one escapes George's wicked sense of humour and mischievous eye for detail.
Biografía del autor:
Blessed with an extraordinary gift, George Best brought a beauty and grace to football. Christened the Fifth Beatle at his peak, Best was the first pop star footballer and had teenage girls flocking to Old Trafford decades before David Beckham. He remains one of the greatest sporting figures of the 20th century. Unable to cope with the success and fame that his talent brought him, Best fell into alcholism and his life has been littered with tales of women, sex and drink. Over recent years he has overcome his addiction, aided by the love and support of his wife, Alex. Best was front page news again in July 2002, when he underwent a liver transplant.
